Several parents have mentioned that they have not yet received their senior pictures and have asked to submit these later. Please be aware that the journalism staff cannot begin working on your ad until we have all the components of it. In May, I strongly urged students and parents to have pictures made and to place orders early because Holland often gets backed up this time of year. In fact, orders placed in July were typically delivered within two weeks; however, orders placed in August always take much longer.

Therefore, please send pictures you have available by Thursday’s deadline. If your senior pictures arrive within a week or so, we will make an attempt to replace the ones you send in this week.

Students and employees who missed School Day Pictures will have an opportunity to have pictures taken on Thursday, September 27. We will call 7-11th grade students out of class during 1st period; however, a photographer will be available beginning at 7:15 that morning in the lobby of the O.O.Emmons Auditorium for faculty and elementary students from other campuses.

*Students should wear the required uniform outlined on your uniform order form:

GIRLS: White 3/4 sleeve overblouse*; plaid pleated skirt; bobby/crew socks (white) or tights (navy, white, or black) or knee socks (navy, red, black, or white)

BOYS: White oxford shirt*; khaki pants [see guidelines]; navy/red tie; ankle socks or crew socks (navy, brown, white); belt (solid black, brown)

**Students who were out of dress code on Aug 30 for the first round of pictures will be expected to have their pictures retaken.

Stuff the yearbook staff will need from seniors:

1. A casual portrait from Holland Studio
AND
2. A formal portrait from Holland Studio
*Have pictures made by Tuesday, July 31; make selections by Thursday, August 30. Holland will provide to us what we need for the senior pages of the yearbook; if you want any of the pictures to appear in your senior ad, be sure to order early (orders placed in July are often delivered within two weeks; however, orders placed in August always take much longer).
