April 14 | Harding Track: Calvin Austin had a terrific showing in last weekend’s Houston Classic, one of the largest events in the South. He won the 400 in a school- record time of 48.44 — the fastest time in the state this year in any classification. He also ran the anchor leg on the victorious 800-meter relay team, which was in last place before he got the baton.

March 31 | Harding Baseball: Harding pitching staff: If pitching wins championships, the Lions have a great chance to lift some hardware later this spring. The staff of Nathan Ruble, Jake Criswell, Evin Olds, Jacob Simmons and Noah Sharp led the team to five victories at least week’s Flag City Classic, combining for an 0.57 ERA. The most impressive performances were by Ruble, who allowed two hits and struck out 14 to shut out Millington, and Criswell, who blanked MHEA on two hits while fanning 13. On Tuesday, Criswell got the win against CBHS to tie the school’s career mark with 21.
