Parks Flowers Commits to Union University

Outfielder Parks Flowers of Harding Academy has committed to play baseball at Union University.  Parks batted .298 last year with 9 HR and 30 RBI.  This past season he was named to the All District 1 Team, All Region Tournament Team, All Shelby-Metro Team, Commercial Appeal Best of the Preps finalist for baseball, All Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Region 8 Team and named Team Offensive Player of the Year.  Parks made the Tennessee Sportswriters Association All State Baseball Team as a sophomore batting .405 with 12 HR.  He currently holds two records at Harding:  Most HR in a season with 12 and Most Career HR with 21.  Parks helped guide the Lions to it's first Regional Tournament Championship since 1991 and first State Runner-Up finish since 1982.
