Nathan Stanford Commits to the United States Air Force Academy

Congratulations to Nathan Stanford for his commitment to the United States Air Force Academy. Nathan was recently named to the 2012 Tennessee Sportswriters Association All-State Baseball Team.  Nathan was 6-5 on the mound with a 1.29 ERA and 78 strikeouts. He led the Lions to their first Regional Tournament Championship since 1991 and first State Runner-Up finish since 1982.  He was also selected to the All District 1 Team, All Region Team, All Region Tournament Team, All Shelby-Metro Team, All Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Region 8 Team, was named Co-MVP of the Regional Tournament, and was named Pitcher of the Year for the Lions.  Nathan has continued the family tradition.  His father Charles (class of '82) was on the 1982 State Runner-Up Team and went on to pitch at the University of Memphis, and his brother Tyler (class of 2010) was on the 2008 State Championship Team and currently plays for Harding University.
