Core Values

Integrity, service, and excellence - these are the core values that Harding seeks to instill in each student and the values that guide each faculty and staff member. These values are a common bond among all Harding Academy members, past and present. They are an integral part of Harding that aids in fulfilling our mission of developing character and faith in God.

• Integrity First

  Integrity is the willingness to do what is right even when no one is looking. It is the moral compass - the inner voice, the voice of self-control; the basis for trust in our Harding family. Students are taught honesty, responsibility, accountability, and justice through God's word and the importance of these character traits in today's world.

• Service Before Self

  "Service before self" tells us that we must place responsibilities and others before our own personal desires. We must always act in the knowledge that others and the world around us were all created by God. Students are provided opportunities at all levels to display compassion and kindness by participating in community projects that serve a variety of local, national, and international causes.

• Excellence In All Things

  "Excellence in all things" directs us toward a sustained passion for continuous improvement and innovation that will move Harding, its students, faculty, and staff to a higher level of accomplishment and performance. Students are encouraged to seek personal excellence in all areas. Personal excellence does not always mean being the best in competition with others in all areas. It does mean seeking to achieve academic integrity, social responsibility, and spiritual guidance.
